CGPC Receives Management Level (B) Rating in CDP Initiative

CGPC has earned a Management level (B) rating in both the Climate Change and Water Security categories of the 2024 Carbon Disclosure Project(CDP) questionnaire, demonstrating the outstanding environmental management capabilities.

The 2024 CDP questionnaire has consolidated the previous three questionnaires on Climate Change, Water Security, and Forests into a single questionnaire. This integration aims to encourage companies to take more proactive measures on overall environmental issues. The consolidated questionnaire not only assesses a company's performance on individual environmental issues but also incorporates its dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities within the entire ecosystem, making the evaluation scope more comprehensive. The questionnaire has also added several international disclosure frameworks and standards (such as ISSB Standards S2, TNFD, etc.) to ensure the consistency of climate-related data and strengthen the tracking of cross-year management performance.

CGPC is committed to environmental sustainability and will continue to take practical actions to implement energy conservation and carbon reduction strategies, as well as develop green products. We will continue to leverage our corporate influence to contribute more to the global sustainable development.
