Waste Management
CGPC minimizes waste generation through several practices: selling leftover materials, auctioning off unqualified products, and recycling and remanufacturing offcuts. The resulting minimal waste is classified into general industrial and hazardous industrial categories. Qualified, licensed organizations handle the removal and disposal according to the Waste Disposal Act. We are committed to promoting resource classification and recycling, as well as 5S activities. As a result, our domestic waste has been decreasing year by year, demonstrating our excellent performance in this efforts.
Life cycle management for waste
The hazardous waste generated by CGPC and TVCM in 2023 was 197.95 tones. Without proper management and effective treatment, random disposal can pollute the environment (air, soil and water), further affecting the ecosystems and harm human health. Therefore, we have adopted the following management measures: 1. Review vendors' qualifications: they need to be qualified waste removal and treatment organizations. 2. Use the GPS real-time tracking system to confirm the transportation route and destinations. 3. Conduct irregular on-site inspections to ensure that hazardous waste is properly disposed of.

All recyclable resources from CGPC plants are entrusted to legal manufacturers for recycling and processing.
In terms of waste manufacturer management and disposal monitoring management, our company's environmental, safety, and health department regularly conducts audits. The general affairs department signs contracts with qualified waste disposal companies. During the disposal process, the GPS real-time tracking system is used to confirm the transportation routes and destinations. Finally, the transportation receipt is used for the three parties to jointly sign and seal, ensuring that the waste is transported and disposed of in accordance with legal regulations. In 2023, there were no violations by the disposal companies.
