Implementation of Greenhouse Gas Voluntary Reduction Plan Guidance

In response to global climate change and domestic carbon fee policies, our company convened the Greenhouse Gas Voluntary Reduction Plan Kick-off Meeting and Guidance Session on February 18, 2025.

To ensure the voluntary reduction plan aligns with company operations, we commissioned the Taiwan Green Productivity Foundation to provide guidance on assessing reduction targets. The team considered company operations, historical emissions, and future plans, using data analysis to set feasible targets and establish baseline and target year emissions for subsequent reduction assessments.

The team assisted in identifying reduction measures, explained reduction effectiveness calculations, and guided the development of implementation schedules and verification point planning to ensure effective progress. For reduction gaps, the team provided guidance on developing countermeasures through scenario analysis and planning reduction pathways with clear stage-specific focuses.

With guidance from the team and assistance from the Group Environmental and Energy Management Department, the company is actively developing a voluntary reduction plan, expected to facilitate reduction measure implementation, reduce carbon fees and environmental costs, achieve a win-win situation for both the economy and the environment.
