Driving Sustainability Through Action – Pioneering a New Benchmark in Low-Carbon Transformation
In response to the global trend of circular economy and low-carbon procurement, CGPC has taken the lead in
incorporating post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials into its PVC rigid pipes and conduits.
In July 2025, CGPC became the first in the Group to obtain third-party certification under the international standard
ISO 14021 “Post-Consumer Recycled Content”, demonstrating our commitment to
practical actions in sustainable
materials.
The certified products not only meet CNS national standards but also ensure quality stability and environmental
sustainability, reflecting CGPC’s dedication to the principle of “growing with partners and coexisting with the
environment.”
Building a Transparent Supply Chain – Managing from the Source
Compared to post-industrial recycled (PIR) materials, PCR requires a more rigorous supply chain process, including
collection, sorting, and reprocessing from end consumers with full traceability.
CGPC collaborates with upstream raw material suppliers and conducts annual audits to ensure clear material
traceability and to establish a transparent and controllable sustainable supply chain.
A New Market Edge – Creating Differentiated ESG Competitiveness
This product is one of the few pipe products in the construction market that has obtained dual standard certification
(CNS + ISO 14021), helping to meet the ESG procurement requirements of enterprises and government projects.
It also enhances CGPC’s brand recognition and competitive advantage in the end-user market.
Four key market advantages
• First in the market to obtain ISO 14021 certification for PCR content
• Supports ESG procurement trends and assists customers in achieving sustainability goals
• Enhances competitiveness in engineering tenders and direct sales markets
• Increases brand exposure and green procurement willingness, promoting green transformation in the building materials
industry
Partnering for a Greener Future
CGPC will continue to advance supplier audits and sustainable supply chain management, assist partners in implementing
ISO quality systems, and expand the application of recycled materials.
Together, we will develop a low-carbon, sustainable product line and move forward into a new era of circular economy.
Sustainability begins with materials; transformation begins with choice.
