In response to global carbon reduction trends and sustainability goals, CGPC’s Main Plant conducted the first-phase
carbon footprint verification for its hydrochloric acid, caustic soda, and sodium hypochlorite products on July 21,
22, and 31. This initiative reflects the company’s ongoing effort to institutionalize product carbon management.
The verification process was carried out in accordance with ISO 14067, covering the entire product life cycle—from raw
material acquisition and manufacturing processes to warehousing and transportation. The goal is to accurately quantify
carbon emissions at each stage and identify key carbon reduction opportunities.
By establishing a systematic carbon footprint inventory, CGPC lays a solid foundation for optimizing low-carbon
production processes and fulfilling carbon disclosure obligations. The company remains committed to strengthening
green manufacturing management and enhancing the competitiveness of its products in alignment with international
environmental standards.
Sustainability in action, carbon management in progress—CGPC moves forward with steady determination.
