Water Pollution Control Measures Plan (Amendment) — Site Inspection and Review by Miaoli County EPB

On August 4, 2025, the Miaoli County EPB conducted an on-site inspection and review at CGPC main plant regarding the amended Water Pollution Control Measures Plan.

During the inspection, the wastewater specialists of CGPC main plant and environmental engineers presented comprehensive reports on the amendment’s technical content, facility capacities and operating conditions, and monitoring and emergency-response mechanisms. The EPB reviewed O&M records of wastewater treatment facilities, performed field checks on equipment operating status, and compared with data from the online continuous monitoring system (including flow and water-quality indicators) to verify compliance with the amended plan and applicable regulations.

CGPC Main Plant also used this amendment as an opportunity to review and strengthen its water-pollution control system—including optimizing unit operating parameters, refining abnormal-event response procedures, enhancing personnel training and audit frequency and will continue to refine measures and provide supplementary evidence according to review comments. We will rigorously implement all post-amendment actions to contribute to regional water-environment quality and to advance the Company’s sustainability roadmap and the USI Group’s “Five Zeros” goals.
