2025 Special Control Meeting on Large Stationary Sources (Public & Private Premises) — Focus on Fixed Sources and VOCs Reduction

On August 4, 2025, the Miaoli County Environmental Protection Bureau (EPB) Air Quality Protection Section, led by Section Chief Lai, together with Professors Chong-Hsing Lu (National Chung Hsing University), Cheng-Chung Liang (Feng Chia University), Wen-Po Cheng and Jui-Fang Yu (National United University), and Cheng-Hsiung Huang (Yuanpei University of Medical Technology), convened the “2025 Special Control Meeting on Large Stationary Sources (Public & Private Premises)” at the CGPC Main Plant. Focused on control of fixed pollution sources and reduction of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), the meeting focused on key emission units within the plant and discussed measures such as raw-material improvement/substitution, process optimization, and upgrades to end-of-pipe control technologies, in order to refine the management and implementation framework for pollution control.

Based on the EPB’s guidance and expert recommendations, CGPC Main Plant will detail implementation plans, define fixed-source reduction targets and priority tasks, and launch targeted abatement actions. These efforts will continually improve the quality and effectiveness of control work, enhance regional air quality, strengthen the Company’s sustainability governance, and provide a solid foundation for achieving the USI Group’s “Five Zeros” goals.
