In response to global trends in the circular economy and sustainable
development, all five affiliates of USI Group — USI Corporation (USI), Asia
Polymer Corporation (APC), Taita Chemical Company, Limited (TTC), Swanson
Plastics Corporation (SPC), and China General Plastics Corporation (CGPC) —
have successfully obtained ISO 14021 international certification for recycled
materials. The certification process, conducted by third-party verification
body SGS, included rigorous document reviews and on-site audits. Collectively,
the Group received seven traceable international certificates for six types of
products, providing processors with high-quality, high-purity, and
high-stability recycled materials with low-carbon attributes, thereby
advancing the value chain toward a sustainable circular economy.
The certified recycled materials, each with a recycled content ratio of over
30%, cover a wide range of general-purpose resins, including ABS, LDPE, EVA,
and HDPE, as well as eco-friendly low-carbon stretch film and
high-recycled-content PVC pipes. These materials are widely used in shared
bicycle components, home appliance casings, e-commerce containers, sports and
leisure goods, toolbox linings, household cleaning containers, precision
equipment packaging, stretch films, and pipes for public works and
construction. They have been adopted and highly recognized by numerous
well-known domestic brands. USI Group will continue to expand application
areas, offering more solutions that combine quality with environmental value.
ISO 14021, alongside GRS, RCS, and UL2809, is one of the world’s most
recognized environmental labels and recycled content verification standards.
ISO 14021, in particular, is a mandatory requirement for downstream suppliers
of global consumer electronics brands. Through professional guidance and
strict audits conducted by SGS, USI Group ensures that the source, proportion,
and traceability of its recycled products fully comply with international
standards. The fact that all five companies achieved certification provides
brand OEMs with new options and demonstrates the Group’s commitment and
achievements in green manufacturing, source reduction, resource circulation,
and carbon reduction.
USI Group stated that green transformation is one of its core strategies for
sustainable development. Moving forward, the Group will continue to expand its
portfolio and applications of low-carbon, eco-friendly recycled materials,
strengthen supply chain collaboration, and work with customers and partners to
promote low-carbon transformation and build a more sustainable future.
