EPD of Miaoli County Implements VCM Tank Truck Transportation Safety Inspection

On September 22, 2025, Environmental Protection Department of Miaoli County implemented a vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) tank truck transportation safety inspection at the CGPC Main Plant. The inspection focused on key aspects including hazard labeling, transportation documentation, prevention and contingency plans, safety equipment and its effectiveness, as well as drivers’ qualifications and emergency response capabilities. In addition to reviewing relevant documentation, inspectors also conducted on-site interviews to verify whether transportation operators had established comprehensive safety management systems and whether drivers regularly received safety training and emergency drills.

This inspection emphasized the importance of immediate emergency response, ensuring that drivers are able to promptly initiate contingency measures in the event of leaks, fires, or other incidents, thereby minimizing impacts on the environment and public safety.

We will continue to cooperate with regulatory inspections, strengthen safety management and environmental risk prevention in transportation, and uphold the responsibility of “Safe Transportation + Environmental Protection,” while advancing toward the achievement of the Group’s Five-Zero Goals.
