TVCM Lin-Yuan Plant, a subsidiary of CGPC, was selected as a demonstration site under the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Industrial Development Administration “SME Low-Carbon Guidance Program,” showcasing its achievements in green transformation and smart manufacturing upgrades.
Through the upgrade of two pyrolysis furnaces (F-6201 and F-6202), the plant addressed issues related to refractory material aging and combustion inefficiency, significantly improving overall energy performance. The furnace surface temperature was reduced from 93°C to 70°C, the number of burners increased from 48 to 112, and INCOLOY 800H materials were adopted to enhance equipment reliability and carbon reduction effectiveness. This project has been included in the Environmental Protection Administration’s Greenhouse Gas Offset Program (Project No. B0000210), with 3,129 tCO₂e of emission reductions already approved, while a second application for 10,922 tCO₂e is currently under review.
In addition, the TVCM Lin-Yuan Plant has actively promoted smart upgrades, including the establishment of a Process Safety Management (PSM) platform that integrates equipment management, permit issuance, and audit processes; the introduction of predictive optimization of distillation tower operations; and the implementation of a VOCs concentration monitoring system to strengthen safety and environmental management. Through continuous investment and technology adoption, the plant achieved an average annual energy-saving rate of 1.58% from 2015 to 2024, positioning itself at the forefront of the industry in environmental protection and sustainability, and becoming a benchmark demonstration enterprise in the “2025 Low-Carbon Manufacturing Guidance Program”.
