CGPC Main Plant and TVCM Linyuan Plant continue to advance greenhouse gas emission reduction and low-carbon transformation initiatives. The second application for micro-scale greenhouse gas offset projects has recently completed third-party verification.
Among the projects, the “IEM Caustic Soda Evaporator Upgrade Project” at CGPC Main Plant successfully passed third-party verification on December 17, 2025. The monitoring period from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024, with a verified total emission reduction/removal of 8,574 metric tons of CO₂ equivalent.
In addition, the “Upgrade of Two Pyrolysis Furnaces (F-6201 and F-6202)” project at TVCM Linyuan Plant completed third-party verification on September 12, 2025, with a monitoring period from January 1, 2021 to September 20, 2024, and a verified total emission reduction/removal of 10,922 metric tons of CO₂ equivalent.
Currently, CGPC Main Plant is preparing to submit an application for the issuance of emission reduction credits to the Ministry of Environment, while TVCM Linyuan Plant is awaiting notification from the competent authority regarding the convening of the review meeting.
The third-party verification was conducted in accordance with relevant regulations and the management requirements for greenhouse gas offset projects. The verification reviewed project monitoring data, emission reduction calculations, and results to confirm their reasonableness, completeness, and traceability.
The Company will continue to proceed with offset project applications, verification, and subsequent credit issuance in compliance with applicable regulations, and will incorporate the related outcomes into sustainability disclosures and carbon management planning as a key foundation for advancing emission reduction actions and enhancing operational resilience.
